ECG announces power outages in Tema and Ogbojo

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled power outages in Tema and Ogbojo due to planned maintenance and an underground cable fault.

In Tema, ECG will carry out maintenance work on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to improve service delivery. The affected areas include Star Steel, Dawhenya Township, Abbey Kope, Adotey, Miotso, Ghanaian Soccer Academy, Abia, Prampram, Kpoi Ete, Central University, Ososhie, P.S. Global, Devtraco, and Methodist Junction and its surroundings.

Apologizing for the inconvenience, ECG stated: “We regret the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise.”

Meanwhile, residents of Ogbojo Asafoatse, Otinshie, Ability, Dzen Ayor, Rev. Owusu Bempah area, Galaxy International School, and Twumasewaa Hospital area are currently without power due to an underground cable fault.

Assuring affected customers, ECG said: “Our engineers are working to rectify the fault and restore supply.”

The company urged residents to remain patient as efforts continue to restore electricity as soon as possible.
