Nana Adasi Patrick, a native of Goaso in the Ahafo Region, has reaffirmed his commitment to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and called on members to unite and reorganize for a strong comeback in the 2028 general elections.

During the 2024 NPP parliamentary primaries in the Asunafo North Constituency, Nana Adasi Patrick initially filed to contest as a parliamentary candidate. However, after careful deliberation and discussions with party leaders, he chose to step down in the party’s interest.

Following the NPP’s loss in the 2024 elections, including the Asunafo North seat, Nana Adasi Patrick has become a vocal advocate for party unity. He has urged members to remain steadfast and trust in the party’s ability to recover. According to him, victory in 2028 is possible if the party takes immediate steps to reorganize and strengthen its structures.

A Call to End Internal Divisions

Nana Adasi Patrick has also encouraged party leadership and grassroots supporters to avoid blame games over the electoral defeat. Instead, he urged them to focus on rebuilding the party as one family.

Future Political Aspirations

When asked about his political ambitions, Nana Adasi Patrick stated that he is awaiting directives from the national party leadership. If the party opens nominations, he confirmed that he would contest in the 2028 parliamentary primaries.

Despite the setback in 2024, he remains optimistic about the NPP’s future, emphasizing that with unity, effective organization, and strategic planning, the party can bounce back stronger in the next general elections.
