Judith Adjobah Blay has been confirmed as the Acting Managing Director of Ghana Gas, according to a reliable source.

Her appointment marks a significant milestone in the country’s energy sector, given her extensive experience in leadership, policy development, and sustainable business practices.

Alongside her confirmation, Robert Lartey has been elevated to the position of Deputy Managing Director, reinforcing the company’s commitment to strong leadership and operational efficiency.

With over two decades of experience in Ghana’s energy sector, Judith Adjobah Blay is recognised for her expertise in strategic growth, regulatory compliance, and local content development.

She currently serves as Deputy Director of Contracts Administration at the Petroleum Commission Ghana, where she has successfully driven a 25% annual increase in local supplier participation in the upstream petroleum industry.

Prior to this role, she was Manager of Community Relations at the Commission, where she integrated ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into industry strategies.

She also played a key role in procurement and supply chain management at Bui Power Authority and contributed to large-scale energy reforms as a Project Coordinator at the Ministry of Energy.

She is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS-UK) and holds an MA in International Transactions from George Mason University (USA), an MSc in Procurement & Supply Chain Management from KNUST, and a BA in French and Linguistics from the University of Ghana.

She is also pursuing an LLM in Public Procurement Law & Policy at the University of Nottingham.

An alumna of Wesley Girls’ High School, she has served as an advisory board member for the Western Regional Coastal Foundation and other sustainability initiatives.

Her appointment as Acting Managing Director of Ghana Gas is expected to bring strategic direction to the organisation, ensuring efficiency and growth in the country’s gas sector.

With Robert Lartey now serving as Deputy MD, the leadership team is well-positioned to drive Ghana Gas towards achieving its long-term goals.
