2025 Budget: This is the best I have witnessed as an MP - Frederick Ahenkwah

The Member of Parliament for Jaman North, Hon. Frederick Ahenkwah, who runs on the ticket of the governing National Democratic Congress [NDC], has disclosed that the 2025 Budget statement is the best he has witnessed.

Ghana’s Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, presented the government’s 2025 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament on Tuesday, March 11.

The budget presentation detailed the government’s financial plans and priorities for the upcoming year, emphasizing economic recovery, job creation, and sustainable development.

Speaking as a panelist on the Hot Morning Drive show – hosted by Don Kwabena Prah on Accra-based Hot 93.9FM, Hon. Frederick Ahenkwah stated that ever since he became an MP, the 2025 budget statement is the best he has witnessed.

“While Ato Forson was reading the budget, you could see even the other side of the caucus nodding their heads. They were enjoying it. Ever since I became an MP, I have witnessed five budget statements, and I can candidly say that of all those I have seen in the chamber, this is the best…. It is superb.”He said.

To counter the common narrative that politicians mislead Ghanaians with false campaign promises, the Member of Parliament for Jaman North quickly affirmed that the NDC and President Mahama, in their 2025 Budget, have shown that some politicians—especially President Mahama—are not deceptive.
