Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has paid a visit to the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, to discuss pressing issues in the energy sector.

The meeting, held on Wednesday, March 12, aimed to enhance collaboration between the Finance and Energy Ministries in tackling the country’s energy challenges.

Announcing the visit on Facebook, Mr. Jinapor described Dr. Ato Forson as “a brother, friend, and colleague”, emphasizing the importance of their discussions. “I received my brother, friend, and colleague, the Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson. We used the opportunity to discuss the challenges in the energy sector and how to overcome them.”

With energy playing a crucial role in national development, the meeting sought to strengthen inter-ministerial cooperation in securing a stable and efficient power supply. Given the financial demands of energy projects, their discussions could lead to strategic funding solutions and policy interventions.

Dr. Ato Forson’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to addressing energy concerns and driving sustainable economic growth.
