No executive of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will experience hardship under the government led by President John Dramani Mahama.
This assurance came from the party’s National Organizer, Joseph Yamin, during a meeting with some party executives.
In a video shared on social media, Mr. Yamin stated that party executives would be taken care of, particularly in terms of job opportunities, once the newly appointed acting CEOs are confirmed by their respective boards.
He urged NDC executives who may feel sidelined despite their contributions to the party’s victory in the 2024 elections to be patient.
“We are telling you that no executive will go hungry under this government… No executive will go hungry. But wait until everything is certain.
“Today, nobody can give you jobs because the CEOs do not have power; they are all acting. Until their boards confirm them, they cannot start recruitment. Those of you with qualifications to work in agencies, when they start employing, come to us at the national headquarters, and we will secure employment for you,” he stated.
According to Mr. Yamin, the children of party executives would also be considered for government scholarships to further their education.
“Your children need employment; when they start hiring, come to us, and we will help them secure jobs. If your children need scholarships to further their education and build a future, come to us when they start awarding them. We will ensure they receive it because you deserve it; you have worked for it,” he noted.
