The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has commenced a nationwide post-election tour to engage party grassroots, bridge internal gaps, and provide updates on government direction.

Leading the tour is Mustapha Foyo Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary in charge of Operations, alongside the National Organizer.

Their mission is to interact with constituency executives and later extend engagements to the regional and ward levels.

According to Gbande, the first phase of the tour focuses on constituency executives, with plans to expand discussions to lower levels in the coming weeks. The tour aims to:

Address concerns from party grassroots
Provide guidance on government policies and opportunities
Ensure effective cooperation between party appointees and executives

He emphasized the importance of timing and strategic coordination in securing placements for party members, as government boards are yet to be formed, affecting local-level appointments and contracts.

The Deputy Director of Operations at Office of The President also opined that the team has completed engagements in the Upper East Region and is currently in the Upper West Region. “The next stops will include Greater Accra and the Eastern Region in the coming days.”

Gbande assured members that the leadership is committed to fostering a workable scheme to maximize political advantages for the party.

“We are determined to work closely with constituency executives to foster a workable scheme that will make the balance of issues work into our collective political advantage,” he stated.

As the tour progresses, the NDC leadership aims to strengthen grassroots engagement and ensure a unified front for future party activities.
