Over 400 pupils of Nana Badu Bonsu Basic school have received education materials from GOIL Ghana.
This initiative is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, aimed at supporting education in the communities where it operates.
The donation on March 20, benefited pupils from Kindergarten 1 & 2, Class 6, and JHS 1 & 2. Items presented included crayons, color pencils, rulers, pencils, erasers, drawing books, coloring books, exercise books, math books, math sets, pens, and sharpeners—essential tools to enhance learning and academic performance.
Speaking at the event, Andy William Nana Adu Tawiah, Territory Executive for Goil’s Western Zone, emphasized the company’s commitment to giving back to society.
He highlighted the importance of early childhood education and assured that Goil would continue to support initiatives that improve learning experiences for young students.
“At Goil, we believe education is the foundation of a better future. This donation is part of our ongoing efforts to invest in the next generation, and we will continue to support schools and students in need,” he said.
The Headmistress of Nana Badu Bonsu Basic School, Mrs. Mercy Appiah, expressed gratitude for Goil’s generosity, describing the donation as a significant relief for pupils and parents.
She, however, appealed for additional support to address other challenges facing the school.
“We are deeply thankful to Goil for this gesture. These materials will go a long way in improving teaching and learning. We urge other organizations and stakeholders to also support us in enhancing the quality of education for our pupils,” she stated.
She also called on parents to take a keen interest in their children’s education and actively engage with the school to ensure better academic outcomes.
