
Nana Philip Archer, a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in leadership roles in multi-national corporations is now the new chairman of the nine-member GOIL PLC Board of Directors.
Others are Mr Edward Abambire Bawa, GOIL Group Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Director; Dr. Thomas Kofi Manu, Dr. Evelyn Lamisi Asuah, Mr. Sylvester Kotey, and Mr. Afetsi Awoonor.
The rest are Mr Augustine Angaa Dayuo, Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, and Professor Peace Mamle Yoko Tetteh, while Nana Ama Kusi-Appouh will serve as secretary to the board.
The Board will provide professional direction to the GOIL Management team headed by Edward Abambire Bawa, Acting Group CEO, and MD; Dr. Marcus Deo Dake, Head of Corporate Affairs; Nana Ama Kusi-Appouh, Solicitor Secretary; and Ing. Denis Nii-Komiete Amui, Head of Operations.
Others are Kingsley Ansah, Head of Estates; Augustine Boateng, Head of Fuels Marketing; Mahamadu Nurudeen Bayensi, Chief Internal Auditor; Roger Oteng Baah, Head of IT; Millicent Ocquaye, Head of Admin and HR; and Ing. Joshua Kwabena Duodu, Head of Technical and Special Products.
The rest are Marian Thompson Fordjor, Head Of HSSEQ; and Robert Nii Lartey, Acting Group Chief Finance Officer.
GOIL subsidiaries are headed by Amentor Sam Aziakar, Managing Director, GOEnergy Limited; Anyeyure L.J. Adongo, Managing Director, GOBitumen; and Dr. Ing. Belinda Boadi, Head of GOIL Upstream Limited.
Meanwhile, shareholders of GOIL PLC at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) in Accra have endorsed the appointment of a new nine-member Board of Directors.
The EGM, which was both in-person and online and organized to approve the new board of directors, also served as a platform for the old Board to officially hand over the mantle to the newly constituted board.
Mr. Bawa, GOIL Group Chief Executive and Managing Director, speaking during the Extra Ordinary General meeting noted that the management team would work towards improving shareholder value and increasing dividend payment, which is dear to the heart of every shareholder.
The new GOIL Group Chief Executive and Managing Director, who is also an energy expert and public servant with almost two decades of experience in energy policy, emphasized that the company would change strategy where needed.
Mr Bawa said the new board and management team at GOIL will work together to improve upon the successes chalked up by the previous management.
Nana Archer, speaking after the endorsement, highlighted the achievement of growth and more profitability for GOIL, adding that the board will strive to achieve greater return on investment in respect of new projects made by the company.
