Appolonia City, a rapidly growing urban development project in Ghana, is seeking to establish strong business ties with the Ghanaian diaspora community in the United Kingdom.

This initiative aims to leverage the collective expertise, resources, and networks of Ghanaian entrepreneurs and professionals in the UK to drive economic growth and development in Ghana.

As part of the development, a delegation from Appolonia City, led by Mr. Yaw Acheampong Adjei, Marketing and Communications Manager, and Mr Solomon Sappor, Head of Finance, has paid a working visit to the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom.

Rendeavour develops Appolonia City in partnership with the Appolonia Stool.

The Appolonia City delegation held a business development meeting with Mrs Diana Addo, Head of Trade, and discussed opportunities for UK companies looking to expand in the Ghanaian market.

Appolonia City, situated in the Greater Accra Region, is designed to be a hub for business, commerce, and innovation. The city boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, including modern office spaces, residential areas, and amenities such as schools, hospitals, and shopping centres.

With its strategic location and business-friendly environment, Appolonia City presents a unique opportunity for Ghanaian entrepreneurs as well as investors in the UK to invest, collaborate, and contribute to Ghana’s economic development.

Mr Adjei acknowledged the Ghanaian diaspora community in the UK, which is estimated to be over 300,000 strong, and commended them, as many hold key positions in various industries.

He said Appolonia City recognizes the vast potential of this community and seeks to tap into their expertise, networks, and resources by exploring opportunities to partner with Ghanaian entrepreneurs and professionals in the UK.

He said we seek to establish partnerships between Ghanaian businesses in the UK and those in Appolonia City, promoting trade, investment, and innovation, and encourage Ghanaian investors in the UK to explore opportunities in Appolonia City, supporting the development of key sectors such as real estate, manufacturing, and technology.

He said the delegation also seeks to facilitate knowledge sharing and skills transfer between Ghanaian professionals in the UK and those in Appolonia City, enhancing capacity building and human resource development.

He said the partnership between Appolonia City and the Ghanaian diaspora community in the UK promises to be win-win for all parties involved.

“By partnering with Ghanaian entrepreneurs and professionals in the UK, Appolonia City can unlock new opportunities for growth, innovation, and cooperation, ultimately contributing to a brighter future for Ghana,” Mr Adjei stated.

The delegation praised the trade mission’s efforts in strengthening Ghana-UK business relations and supporting Ghanaian enterprises in the UK market.

The team gave an overview of the Appolonia Industrial Park, highlighting the location for UK companies looking to establish a presence in Ghana, and outlined the park’s strategic advantages, including reliable access to essential infrastructure such as consistent electricity, water supply, high-speed internet, and robust security services.

“Appolonia Industrial Park is the ideal environment for industrial growth and is well-positioned to support businesses aiming to enter the West African market.

“With our world-class infrastructure and seamless access to key logistics networks, it’s a prime destination for UK investors,” said Mr Adjei.

The Head of Trade acknowledged Appolonia City’s commitment to enhancing bilateral trade and investment between the two countries and promoting Ghana as a preferred business destination.

Appolonia City, located in the Greater Accra Region, plays a pivotal role in Ghana’s industrial and economic growth. The city’s industrial park is designed to cater to a wide range of industries, providing tailored solutions to meet key business needs.

Appolonia City is a 2,325-acre mixed-use, master-planned urban development offering residential, commercial, and light industrial spaces. Appolonia Industrial Park is located within the city and provides modern infrastructure and services designed to support local and international businesses.
