The Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Krobea Asante, has called on members of the Tertiary Students Confederacy of NPP (TESCON) to enhance their communication efforts in promoting the party’s values and achievements.
Speaking at the UG TESCON ALUMNI Connect and Freshers’ Orientation at Legon City Campus and Legon Main Campus, Asante underscored the crucial role of effective communication in shaping political narratives.
He urged members to engage with students, particularly first-year students, to help them understand and appreciate the NPP’s vision. Despite the disappointment of the 2024 elections, he commended TESCON members for their dedication and encouraged them to utilize new media platforms to highlight the party’s achievements.
Asante emphasized that with a stronger communication strategy, the NPP would be well-positioned for the 2028 elections. He urged TESCON members to take immediate action, stressing that each of them has a vital role in securing the party’s future.
As a gesture of support, he made a financial donation to aid TESCON’s activities on campus.
The event, aimed at mobilizing and energizing the party’s youth base, was deemed a success, with students expressing renewed enthusiasm for the NPP.
Notable figures in attendance included Hon. Asenso Boakye, founder of TESCON and MP for Bantama; Madam Akosua Manu, former NPP 2024 Adenta parliamentary aspirant and former Deputy CEO of the National Youth Authority; and the Patron of UG TESCON.
