How former President Akufo-Addo celebrated his 81st birthday

Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo celebrated his 81st birthday on Saturday, March 29, 2025, with a private gathering at his residence.

The event was attended by his wife, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, and other close associates.

Photos from the celebration, shared online, also showed Nana Asante Bediatuo, Akufo-Addo’s former executive secretary, who made his first public appearance in a long while.

Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko took to Facebook to share moments from the birthday celebration, capturing the former president in the company of well-wishers.

The intimate event reflected Akufo-Addo’s legacy as he celebrated another milestone surrounded by family, friends, and longtime political allies.
