NPP deserves bold leader like Kennedy Agyapong — Charles Bissue

A former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Regional Secretary for the Western Region, Charles Bissue, has thrown his weight behind Kennedy Agyapong for the party’s next flagbearer election.

According to him, his decision to support the former Assin Central Member of Parliament’s bid stems from the belief that every political season requires a new kind of leadership.

The one-time parliamentary aspirant further noted that when the campaign for the party’s flagbearer race begins, the Kennedy Agyapong team will present compelling messages to delegates and party supporters.

Speaking in Kumasi to some NPP supporters and TESCON members at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Saturday, March 30, Mr. Bissue urged support for the ex-lawmaker.

“Selflessness, someone who is bold and takes a practical approach to solutions. I decided to stand with him because I know that every season calls for a certain leader, and 2028 is Ken Agyapong’s season.

“We are here not to campaign but to make our intentions known. When the time comes, I know many people will contest, but we will bring forth strong messages that will penetrate the minds and souls of Ghanaians, helping us return to power in 2028,” he noted.

Meanwhile, Mr. Agyapong lost his first attempt at the party’s flagbearership to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr. Bawumia eventually lost the 2024 general elections to President John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
