The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has convened a high-level meeting in Accra with former Inspectors-General of Police to seek their expertise and discuss strategies for enhancing law enforcement in Ghana.

The gathering aimed to foster collaboration between the current leadership of the Ghana Police Service and its former heads, leveraging their wealth of experience to improve policing.

During the discussions, the group addressed key issues such as personnel welfare, crime prevention, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing reforms within the police service.

They also examined broader concerns related to national security, law enforcement strategies, and maintaining public order.

The former IGPs shared insights based on their years of service, offering recommendations to strengthen police operations and community trust.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to ongoing consultations, ensuring that the Ghana Police Service continues to evolve and effectively respond to the country’s security needs.
