Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has met with Mr. Tomáš Pojar, National Security Advisor of the Czech Republic, to explore new avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

The high-level talks, held in Accra, centered on key areas of mutual interest including defence, national security, transport, education, and healthcare training. The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to deepen diplomatic and strategic ties between Ghana and the Czech Republic.

In his remarks, Mr. Pojar reflected on the over six-decade relationship between the two countries, describing it as a solid foundation for broader collaboration. He emphasized the Czech Republic’s readiness to further strengthen its partnership with Ghana across a range of sectors.

Minister Ablakwa, for his part, thanked the Czech government for its longstanding support in areas such as agriculture, water treatment, education, and security. He underscored Ghana’s interest in expanding this cooperation, particularly in economic development and private sector engagement.

He proposed the organization of a bilateral business forum to encourage partnerships between entrepreneurs and investors from both countries, aimed at leveraging their respective strengths for mutual benefit.

The meeting concluded with both sides affirming their shared commitment to deepen relations and promote development initiatives that would improve the quality of life for citizens in both nations.
