Kamaldeen Sulemana draws inspirations from Mohammed Kudus’ success

Ghanaian international Kamaldeen Sulemana credits Mohammed Kudus’ impressive performances as a source of motivation to elevate his own game.

The two players, who were once teammates at the Right to Dream Academy and later at Nordsjaelland, have taken different paths in their careers. While Kudus has been on a remarkable trajectory, Kamaldeen has faced his share of ups and downs.

However, the Southampton winger is now drawing inspiration from his national teammate and close friend.

“Kudus hasn’t had the best season this season, but he was sublime last season. So it’s great to see my best friend doing so well. It gives me motivation to push as hard as I can”, Sulemana via ShowMax.

“My best two friends play in the Premier League. Abdul Fatawu is at Leicester and Mohammed Kudus is at West Ham,” he told ShowMax.

Kamaldeen is particularly thrilled to see his friends succeeding in the Premier League, a feat he hopes to replicate.

“It’s so amazing that we are all playing in the Premier League and excelling. Last season I watched Kudus excel and I told him I would see him in the Premier League next season and we can destroy the league together.”

Kamaldeen will be playing for pride with Southampton for the remainder of the season after being relegated following the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

With seven games to go, Southampton are on course to match or better Derby County’s worse points returns in a 38-game season.

Derby were relegated with 11 points in the 2007-08 season.
