In a beautiful display of compassion and community spirit, Lauren Baaba Annan, affectionately known as The LAW, hosted a heartwarming breakfast session with students of the University of Cape Coast on the morning of Thursday, 10th April 2025.
With the semester drawing to a close and many students preparing for vacation amidst exams and financial strain, Lauren chose to share bowls of warm porridge with kose and bread, not just to feed bodies, but to uplift spirits.
As she moved from group to group, Lauren listened attentively to the voices of students, their worries, ideas, and hopes.
“I didn’t come into student leadership just to speak,” she remarked.
“I came to listen, to serve, and to make real change, one student at a time.”
One female student, visibly touched, shared: “This simple act means so much. It shows that leadership is about presence, not just position. Lauren is different.”
Another student added, “We need more leaders who meet us where we are, who understand what we go through and care enough to act. This touched us.”
From words of encouragement to shared laughter over breakfast, the session turned into more than just a meal, it became a memory, a quiet, powerful reminder that leadership grounded in empathy makes the deepest impact.
The LAW continues to prove, through both word and deed, that she truly cares.
