Why Is The NPP Jittery And Want To Drag The Judiciary, The Chiefs, The Civil Society Organizations and The Ghana Bar Association Into A Constitutional Process

The New Patriotic Party recklessness is creating more problems for the Chief Justice Gertrude Essaba Torkornoo. Mr Vincent Assafuah NPP member of parliament filed a process at the Supreme Court to frustrate a constitutional process, immediately the President forwarded the petition to the Council of State.

Why is it that only members of the New Patriotic Party are worried and desperately fighting tooth and nail to curtail the constitutional process which is activated to remove the Chief Justice Gertrude Essaba Torkornoo. It is highly unconscionable for anyone to invite the Juduciary, Chiefs, Civil Society Organization and the Ghana Bar Association into a constitutional process which is under scrutiny at the Council of State.

The conducts of the New Patriotic Party either in government or out of government are threats to the peace of this country. Because the citizenry allowed their diabolical and reckless conducts for eight years in government, still feel and think they are entitled to control the narrative while in opposition. This conduct of the NPP is a threat to the peace of this country, therefore the institutions they are calling on to stop the government from carrying out its legitimate constitutional mandate, should ignore that unconscionable request.

The NPP under President Nana Akufo Addo knew what they used some of the state institutions in commiting heinous crime against the good people of Ghana and are very jittery the removal of the heads of those state institutions may open up the can of worms they have concealed.

The unnecessary tension being fanned by the New Patriotic Party is a strategy to force the new administration to back off any investigation against their cruelty while in government. The NPP must understand Ghana belongs to all and must refrained from beating the was drums.

This is not the first time Chief Justices are subjected to removal from office, why the noise this time round. Former Chief Justice E K Wiredu was accused he lied under oath for age forgery by Mr Francis Dzanku Asaase Kofi petitioned the removal of Justice Wiredu on the ground that he forged his age, the process didn’t end when he voluntary resigned on health grounds to safeguard his reputation, therefore if the current Chief Justice Essaba Torkornoo knowing she hasn’t committed any crime, then there is nothing for her to worry about but, if a prima facie case is found against her, she must do the needful not to allow the NPP to exploit her predicament for a political jamboree.

The outcome of this petition against the Chief Justice Gertrude Essaba Torkornoo either favourable or not must sent a signal to all government appointees not to allow any negative influences affect their decisions that may destroy their reputation when the day of reckoning comes.
