Kwabena Bonfeh alias Kabila [L] and Yaw Asani Tano
The studios of Accra-based Peace FM reached a boiling point as two panelists, Yaw Asani Tano, National Organiser of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), and James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly known as Kabila, former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) engaged in a heated exchange.
The live radio broadcast took a dramatic turn when the two exchanged harsh words, unable to control their tempers during a panel discussion on the station’s morning show.
Yaw Asani Tano, known for his outspoken nature, reportedly lost his cool after Kabila accused him of frequently switching political parties.
A video of the incident, which has been shared widely on social media, shows Asani Tano reacting strongly to the accusation.
“I will beat the hell out of you for the foolish things you keep telling NPP members about me,” he exclaimed.
Kabila responded, surprised, “Me, Kwabena Bomfeh?”
Asani Tano continued, “Adomako Baafi claimed that I have gone mad before. Who the hell are you? You’ve been drinking alcohol for a long time, and it has stunted your brain’s growth. Why do you tell people I was once mad?”
Kabila quickly shot back, “I once had to give you money to buy your medication.”
That remark infuriated Asani Tano even more, prompting him to shout, “You are a fool! I will beat the hell out of you!” at which point the video abruptly ends.
