The Asafofiaga of Peki, Togbe Edem Guh, has assured the people of Sokode that the Peki Traditional Area is prepared to provide security and developmental support to the community.

This assurance is rooted in the historical and familial ties between the two traditional areas.

During the Sokode Gbogame Youth Homecoming event in 2025, Togbe Edem Guh expressed his commitment to supporting the community’s development plans. He noted his concern that opposition to these efforts could hinder progress and success.

The Asafofiaga pledged to ensure the success of the community’s development initiatives, which are expected to create more opportunities for the residents. He expressed gratitude to the Sokode Gbogame Community for their support during his installation and the final funeral rites of the late Paramount Chief.

Togbe Edem Guh donated One Thousand Ghana Cedis to aid in the construction of a community center. He reassured the community that he would actively support them in their pursuit of progress.

The chairperson of the event, Mr. Churchill Amedzeame, emphasized the importance of inclusivity in community development programs. He offered to contribute his expertise for the Community Centre Project at no cost to the youth when needed.

The Sokode Gbogame Youth Homecoming aims to empower youth and promote education. The event has already made a significant impact, including enrolling youth in apprenticeship programs.

This year’s event marked the beginning of the Community Centre Project, which will provide a safe and inspirational environment for growth and development. Additionally, the community plans to establish a Sachet Water Production and Youth Resource Centre Project.

The Asafofiaga’s assurances and donations demonstrate his commitment to the community’s development. His support is expected to enhance the community’s development plans and attract more opportunities.

The community is optimistic about the project’s success and its potential to foster unity and growth. The impact of the event is expected to resonate for years to come.

The Asafofiaga’s visit and support signify a new chapter in the relationship between Peki and Sokode. The community looks forward to a brighter future with the Asafofiaga’s backing.

The Sokode Gbogame Youth Homecoming has successfully brought the community together, promoting unity and development. The achievements of the event reflect the community’s potential for growth and prosperity.
