The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Koduah, has expressed appreciation to former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong, for his continued benevolence to the party.
He noted that the party is grateful for the consistent support shown by its one-time flagbearer aspirant.
Speaking at the party’s headquarters in Accra on Friday, April 25, the opposition party’s chief scribe further called for unity as they work to rebuild and wrestle power from the NDC in the 2028 general elections.
“If anyone mentions your name, they talk about your kind gestures. So the party is genuinely happy to have people like you. Today, for you to have presented an amount of 1 million Ghana cedis to support us in.
“We are genuinely, honestly, very grateful for this gesture, which will put smiles on the faces of our staff. As you indicated, after the elections, we have been struggling,” he said.
This comes at a meeting where Mr. Ohene Agyapong donated GH¢1 million to the party to help settle outstanding salaries owed to its workers.
According to the former Assin Central MP, the party has been unable to clear arrears since it left power on January 7, 2025.
“I decided to come with this widow’s mite contribution. We’ve been in opposition for about four months, and it’s sad that we cannot run the party, which I think is not good enough. So, my message is simple: I’ve come this morning with a contribution to enable the running of the party,” Mr. Agyapong said.
