Our polling station executives, grassroots are our greatest assets

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has paid glowing tribute to the party’s polling station executives and grassroots supporters, calling them the true pillars of the NPP’s strength and success.

During a stop in Takoradi on Saturday, 26 April, as part of the party’s Thank You Tour, Dr. Bawumia lauded their dedication, acknowledging the critical role they have played in keeping the NPP vibrant across the country.

“Our polling station executives and grassroots are our greatest assets, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart,” he stated, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

Dr. Bawumia underscored that the NPP’s achievements over the years would not have been possible without the relentless commitment and sacrifices of these hardworking members. Their loyalty, he said, forms the foundation upon which the party stands.

Reflecting on his tenure as Ghana’s Vice President from 2017 to 2025, Dr. Bawumia noted that no political organization could thrive without strong grassroots support.

“It is the grassroots that defend the party in every community, market, and household,” he emphasised, rallying the base to maintain their resolve as the party gears up for the 2024 general elections.

He wrapped up his address by pledging that the party leadership would continue to engage and empower the grassroots to secure a stronger future for the NPP.
