Alagumgube took a significant step in its journey of cultural empowerment and community development with the grand inauguration of its fourth chapter — the Accra Branch — held at Mother’s Inn in Kaneshie.

The colorful event, hosted by Richard Abanga Ayamdoo, African Chairman of Alagumgube, drew a distinguished audience, including cultural leaders, prominent guests, and members of the Upper East Region community.

The ceremony highlighted Alagumgube’s expanding influence in uniting Ghanaians from the Upper East Region and promoting initiatives across West Africa.

Among the notable attendees were the Greater Accra Frafra Youth Chief, Naba Mohammed Malick Touga; Entertainment Chief, Naba Charles Bogbire Woriyiya; Hon. Hajia Charity Chariyam of NADMO; and Founder Gabriel Akakiire Agambila, who traveled from the United States to personally participate in the event.

Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Agambila emphasized the strategic importance of establishing the Accra Chapter in expanding Alagumgube’s reach. He highlighted the association’s mission, milestones, and vision, passionately calling for unity and a renewed commitment to collective progress.

Special guest speaker Madam Paulina Bukere Kozotimo also traveled from Bolgatanga to deliver a stirring message encouraging collaboration and deeper focus on the development of the Upper East Region.

The ceremony was enriched by cultural performances from the Kasah Yongo Cultural Group and a high-energy live band led by Chale Boy, popularly known as “One Man Thousand,” with a special performance by the Founder himself.

A major highlight of the day was the official launch of the Accra Branch and the swearing-in of its newly elected executives:

Speaking on behalf of the executives, PRO Roland A. Awelinga expressed gratitude to members and supporters, pledging their commitment to advancing Alagumgube’s mission.

In his closing remarks, the Youth Chief urged the new leadership to stay focused on promoting the association’s vision and championing meaningful development.

The event concluded with a lively networking session and refreshments, leaving attendees energized and inspired to further Alagumgube’s goals.

With the successful inauguration of the Accra Chapter, Alagumgube continues to build bridges across borders, deepening its roots as a strong force for unity, culture, and progress across Africa.
