Six dead in fatal road accident at Adamson Dompoase

An accident that occurred at Adansi Dompoase, near the new ECG office, has claimed the lives of six individuals.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service, it received a distress call and promptly responded to the scene in good time.

Fire personnel, led by ADOII Samuel Mensah, got to the scene and found a VIP bus (GW 8455-23) and a Benz Sprinter (GS 6383-20) involved in an accident.

The sprinter was destroyed from its rear, while the VIP bus sustained partial damage to its front side.

The GNFS said it completed rescue operations, with six lifeless bodies retrieved from the damaged vehicles, and they were handed over to the police.

One injured person was taken to the Fomena Government Hospital for emergency treatment.

The service added that the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
