Ghanaian highlife crooner George Kwabena Adu, known in showbiz circles as Kwabena Kwabena, is the latest musician to get into student politics.

According to his manager Nana Poku Ashis, Kwabena is vying for Student Representative Council (SRC) presidency at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), where he is studying for a bachelor’s degree.

Kwabena Kwabena, who attended St. Peter’s Secondary School for his secondary education, has a Higher National Diploma (HND) from the Accra Polytechnic.

His move follows the steps of Samini who became SRC President for GIMPA, Guru who is currently the SRC President for the University of Ghana, and Dr Cryme who recently won the SRC President position at the Methodist University.

The SRC election for the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) is slated for May 30, 2025.
