In a major step toward addressing the persistent water challenges in Akatsi South Municipality, the Newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Daniel Dagba, welcomed the Volta Regional Director of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA), Eyram Sylvester, on an official working visit to the constituency on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

The visit, which focused on assessing the current water crisis and exploring sustainable solutions, underscores the new MCE’s proactive and results-oriented leadership style, which has been widely acknowledged since his assumption of office.

During the engagement, Sylvester assured the MCE and the people of Akatsi that the Agency is fully committed to resolving the situation.

He stated that the water crisis in the Akatsi township will soon be a thing of the past, with plans already in motion to bring lasting relief to the area.

“The Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, Vincent Senam Kuagbenu, has taken a personal interest in ensuring a permanent solution to the water problem in Akatsi,” Sylvester added, emphasizing the national-level commitment to resolving the issue.

Daniel Dagba expressed appreciation for the Director’s visit and pledged the full support of the Municipal Assembly in implementing the necessary interventions.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering tangible results in critical sectors, with water provision being a top priority.

The MCE’s swift engagement with national stakeholders has drawn widespread praise from residents and observers on Facebook and other social media platforms.

Many have commended Dagba for his decisive approach and early efforts in addressing developmental concerns in the municipality.

Well-wishers have also offered prayers for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as he continues to serve the people of Akatsi South.

The visit by the CWSA Regional Director marks a hopeful turn in the long-standing water challenges of the municipality, with residents optimistic that, under the leadership of Dagba, real progress will soon be made.
