The Electoral Commission (EC) has scheduled district level elections for Nkoranza North and South, along with by-elections in select electoral areas, to take place on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

Ahead of the elections, the Commission will organize candidate platforms from Friday, May 9 to Sunday, May 11. These platforms will allow aspirants to introduce themselves, share their plans, and respond to questions from voters.

According to a statement signed by Deputy Chairperson of Operations, Mr. Samuel Tettey, and shared with the Ghana News Agency, at least one platform will be held in every electoral area and unit where polls are scheduled. The goal is to give voters an opportunity to evaluate each candidate’s credibility and vision.

“Candidates and their supporters are advised to refrain from employing threats, force or intimidation to induce and compel voters to vote or refrain from voting during the elections, as these acts constitute election offenses,” the statement said.
