The chiefs, community members, and constituency executives of the Afigya Kwabre South Municipality in the Ashanti Region have expressed their profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing Honorable Patricia Pearl Ankrah as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

In a statement released by the constituency’s Communications Director, Solomon Adomako, and endorsed by other constituency executives, leaders across the municipality — including traditional authorities, religious figures, and community stakeholders — praised the President’s choice, describing it as timely and strategic.

They commended the appointment as a demonstration of President Mahama’s commitment to inclusive governance, excellence, and grassroots development.

The statement highlighted Ankrah’s strong ties to the community, her dedication to public service, and her unifying leadership qualities, describing her as the “ideal choice” to lead the municipality. The leaders expressed confidence that under her stewardship, Afigya Kwabre South would witness accelerated development, innovative projects, and enhanced unity — all in line with the government’s broader development agenda.

The group pledged their full support and cooperation with the new MCE, emphasizing their shared commitment to prioritizing education, infrastructure, healthcare, job creation, and holistic growth for the municipality’s residents.

They further called on assembly members to offer Hon. Ankrah an overwhelming endorsement, believing that such a mandate would set the tone for rapid and sustainable progress in the district.
