Municipal Chief Executive for Ga East, Edmund Agboh
The newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga East, Edmund Agboh, has pledged to lead with integrity, transparency, and a deep commitment to inclusive development.
The MCE, whose confirmation was celebrated at a recent ceremony attended by dignitaries including the Greater Accra Regionale Minister, MPs from Shai Osudoku and Dome-Kwabenya, and party executives, expressed profound gratitude to President Mahama and the leadership of the National Democratic Congress for the trust reposed in him.
“Our journey ahead demands unity, accountability, and innovation,” he said. “Together, we will revitalize local governance in line with the RESET agenda of our great party.”
Addressing the Assembly’s longstanding challenges, particularly inadequate funding and delays in the disbursement of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) outlined strategic plans aimed at boosting internally generated funds through the introduction of convenient and fair revenue collection systems.
Among the key initiatives are the rehabilitation of critical roads such as the Narhman-Musuku and Pure Water roads, designed to ease traffic congestion and mitigate flooding.
The Assembly also plans to enhance other local roads using its own machinery, which will be operated and maintained by newly appointed technical staff.
He also reaffirmed close collaboration with MPs, traditional leaders, religious groups, and civil society to build a united front for development.
