Some supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) have lashed out at media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah for supposedly stampeding and questioning the discretion of President John Dramani Mahama.

Nana Aba, in a series of social media posts argued that that President Mahama should have offered Obuobia Darko-Opoku, a bigger position than the current one she is occupying.

She claimed that Obuobia worked hard to bring the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to power and therefore deserves more.

On her X page, Nana Aba said: ‘’Obuobia Darko-Opoku practically wore out the soles of her shoes for her party ahead of the Dec. 7 elections. Her intellect? Undeniable. Her Loyalty? Unmatched. Her dedication…’’

In another post on X, the media personality said, “Obuobia didn’t just campaign. She connected. From dawn meetings at Keta to late-night rallies at Techiman, she showed up. It is obvious she deserves more than a deputy MD position.’’’

“When the stakes were high, Obuobia was higher on platforms, in communities, in strategy rooms. Someone who gave her all deserves a seat where she can make a national difference,’’ Nana Aba said in another X post.

However, NDC supporters are unhappy with the position of the media personality on behalf of Obuobia as it insinuates that President Mahama does not know what he is about.

According to insiders, the GACL has never had the position of a Deputy Managing Director, an indication that President Mahama created that position specifically for Obuobia.

They said that others equally struggled and worked extremely hard towards the December 7, 2024, elections but have not secured any appointment and are not complaining because they believe in the leadership style of the president.

Obuobia is presently the Deputy Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited, (GACL).
