A devastating incident has shaken the University of Cape Coast (UCC) community after a final-year student, Miss Candy Osei Abora, lost her life in a fatal gas explosion on Monday, May 19, 2025.

The news of her passing was shared on the official TikTok page of Valco Hall, her campus residence, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
