Renowned Ghanaian actor and television personality Akwasi Boadi, popularly known as Akrobeto, was involved in a road accident on Friday, May 23, while traveling to Kumasi.
The crash occurred near Konongo on the Accra-Kumasi highway, a stretch known for its heavy traffic and frequent accidents.
According to preliminary reports, Akrobeto’s vehicle was involved in a collision with a heavy-duty truck. The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
Akrobeto, who anchors UTV’s popular satirical news show Real News, was reportedly alone in the car at the time of the incident.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene promptly. Although the vehicle sustained major front-end damage, Akrobeto escaped with no serious injuries. Images and videos circulating on social media show the extent of the impact, with the front of his car visibly crushed.
Thankfully, no other injuries or fatalities have been reported. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine what led to the collision.
