The Oti Regional Minister, Hon. John Kwadwo Gyapong, has officially inaugurated a 16-member board of the Oti Regional Lands Commission.
The ceremony, which took place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the region’s development.
The board members, drawn from various stakeholders, were administered the oath of allegiance, oath of secrecy, and oath of office.
Hon. Gyapong commended President John Dramani Mahama for establishing the Oti Regional Lands Commission office, describing it as a response to the people’s plea.
Hon. Gyapong urged the board to work towards unity of purpose, promote sustainable land use, and ensure lands are used economically.
The 16-member board is chaired by Nana Mprah Besemuna III and comprises:

Hon. Gyapong cautioned board members against serving parochial interests, emphasizing that the ministry would take action against individuals who fall short of the laws. He urged the board to promote sustainable land use and fair distribution of lands.
The inauguration marks a new chapter in the Oti Region’s development, with the board poised to play a crucial role in shaping the region’s land administration and management.
The board is tasked with managing both private and public lands in the region, promoting sustainable land use, and ensuring fair and equitable distribution of lands and spatial use.
