The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Mr Samuel Nartey George, has expressed interest in collaborating with TECHAiDE on their coders program, recognizing its potential to develop Ghana’s digital talent.

The partnership will involve building computer labs equipped with TECHAiDE’s Asanka devices, providing students with hands-on experience and access to quality educational content.

The Minister made these remarks during TECHAiDE’s visit to the ministry on Thursday in Accra, where they showcased the Asanka wireless device, a locally manufactured offline Learning Management System (LMS).

Mr George praised TECHAiDE’s innovation, stating, “The Asanka device has the potential to bridge the digital divide in Ghana. We’re committed to supporting local tech firms.”

He emphasized that the partnership is expected to significantly impact education in Ghana and the One Million Coders Program, making it more accessible, effective, and cost-efficient.

The TECHAiDE team, led by Business Development Associate, Mr. Seth Abrah Kankam, noted that the device can connect up to 25 smart devices wirelessly and has the potential to revolutionize the way education is delivered in Ghana.

“TECHAiDE plans to roll out a pilot project and refine the technology for wider adoption, with the goal of integrating it into the curriculum,” he added.
