Since the NPP government doesn’t believe in accountability and is only interested in the survival of the party, it allowed former President Akufo-Addo to destroy the nation’s economy, businesses, and investments for eight years, resulting in a national debt of GHC 763 billion and leaving many institutions in debt or bankrupt due to Agyapadie governance. However, with the NPP now in the opposition, many have pledged to discredit the new administration so that it fails rather than succeeds.
President John Mahama’s new administration still employs many NPP politicians in a number of institutions throughout the country that are unwilling to support the success of his administration. The fact that the NPP failed as a government is causing so much embarrassment to the extent that they are determined to let Mahama fail as well. The problem is that they are unaware of how their activities are actually harming them, as Ghanaians are already aware of the superior governance by the NDC.
Does undermining Mahama’s administration actually address the NPP’s shortcomings or change the minds of Ghanaians to think the NDC is also a failed government? I don’t think so. The economy was severely damaged by the NPP’s pervasive corruption and money laundering, which left numerous institutions in debt or bankrupt, yet under Akufo-Addo’s leadership, there was little prospect of protest. Nevertheless, the NDC is facing protest threats despite its strongest performance after only five months in office.
If an NPP politician claims on social media that “even if the NDC made Ghana like heaven, he will still vote for the NPP,” that should serve as a warning to every intelligent Ghanaian. That statement means that the NPP is a political party that only cares about its own survival and not the people. Such a comment would not be made by a leader who is concerned about the welfare of the populace; therefore, people should refrain from attacking genuine writers who expose the NPP’s lack of intelligence.
These statements should caution Ghanaians from being foolish enough to hand over power or put their faith in the NPP to govern the country, as their politicians’ words accurately reflect their personalities and policies. False information is spread on social media by politicians or the NPP media in an effort to sway public opinion. Some even go so far as to fabricate letterheads for NDCs in order to make misleading claims. Why should such incidents occur when no one dared during Akufo-Addo’s tenure?
President Mahama’s gentleness should not be taken for granted by the media, journalists, writers, and tribal bigots of the NPP. They are not taking into account the how impact of their evil schemes against the president also has on the populace and the nation. However, those responsible will accuse the president of persecuting those who wish to exercise their right to freedom of speech. Even though Ghanaians saw the worst, this was not tolerated during the tenure of Akufo-Addo.
Many NPP politicians, including Akufo-Addo, Mahamudu Bawumia, Mohammed Amin Adam, Kofi Bentil, Brian Acheampong, Richard Ahiagbah, Miracle Aboagye, and many more, keep lying even when their party is in the opposition. Since every liar is a thief, I want Ghanaians to realize that these individuals are among those undermining Mahama’s effective leadership since the NPP, their party, has failed. I have to caution Ghanaians from entertaining them, as they oppose the progress of the nation.
The COCOBOD, SSNIT, ECG, and the oil industry are among the many institutions that have been bankrupted by the NPP’s embezzlement of the country. However, they have risen once more, attacking Mahama for introducing GHC 1.00 levy on fuel to solve the “Dumsor” crisis. Ghanaians should not permit any NPP politician to devastate their nation if Mahama’s accomplishments are not worthy of appreciation, something they couldn’t do in eight years.
Enough is enough; the NPP must immediately cease its efforts to undermine Mahama’s administration because their evil plans are not only affecting the progress of the nation, but laos revealing to Ghanaians exactly what they would do if they take power, just as they have done in the past.
