2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia paid a visit to the party’s polling station officer, Bernard Mensah, who suffered a near-fatal electrical accident during the 2024 elections in the Mampoma, Twifo Atti-Morkwa Constituency.

Mr. Mensah sustained severe injuries while fixing streetlight bulbs and party flags on poles during the 2024 election campaign.

Ahead of visit, Dr. Bawumia provided financial assistance through a delegation led by Central Regional NPP Chairman, Percival Quaicoe, along with Regional Secretary Richard Takyi Mensah and Treasurer, Francis Asare.

The donation covered medical expenses and provided relief to Mr. Mensah’s family.

Dr. Bawumia in an interaction with Mr. Mensah assured him of his support for his full recovery. He also provided an undisclosed amount to support his household.

Mr. Mensah on his part expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bawumia and the NPP party machinery stating that since the incident he has received generous support and well wishes from the party.

He reassured his commitment to the party and pledged to engage in party activities to ensure the NPP regains power in the next elections.
