Western Regional Director of Education urges BECE candidates to arrive early at exam centres

A total of 44,544 students have registered for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Western Region.

Notably, female students outnumber males, with 22,564 and 21,988 registrations, respectively.

The exams will take place across 145 centers in various metropolitan, municipal, and district assemblies.

BECE candidates

A total of 1,411 schools are participating, comprising 849 public schools and 562 private schools.

A total of 1,659 invigilators will oversee the 2025 BECE in the Western Region. The exams commence on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, with Social Studies and ICT papers, and will span six days, concluding on June 18, 2025.

Western Regional Director of Education, Emmanuel Essuman, has urged BECE candidates to avoid examination malpractices and emphasized the importance of punctuality, encouraging students to arrive at their centers on time.
