The National FMCG Summit has announced the launch of a new mentoring programme that aims to coach 1,000 early career professionals to be the future of the consumer goods industry.

Dubbed the FMCG Incubation Programme 2025, this initiative matches early career people with experienced professionals on a unique development journey. The mentors will share insights and practical experiences with the mentees while the mentees bring fresh ideas and recent technology into the cohort.

The programme was launched during the fourth edition of the National FMCG Summit and Awards that happened in Accra and brought together leading voices, brands, and changemakers from across Ghana’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.

The National FMCG Summit Awards is proudly organised by Global Ovations.

Launching the programme, CEO of Global Ovations, Gideon Raji said ‘This year’s summit isn’t just about awards, it is about building a stronger future for the FMCG industry in Ghana. Through this mentorship programme, we’re laying the foundation for the next generation of industry leaders.’

The 2025 FMCG incubation programme was launched by Eric Kumah, Marketing Manager, West Africa at Danone; Edwin Amoako, Managing Director and Business Consultant; Ewuraba Adusei, Marketing Director, GB Foods Ghana; Barbara Incoom, Marketing Director at Delta Paper/Alpha Industries and Gideon Raji, CEO of the Global Ovations.

Mr. Kumah called on experienced professionals present to volunteer to mentor the next generation saying, “you have rich experiences today. Now is the time to give back some of what you have been given to shape the industry tomorrow.”

Established in 2021, The FMCG Summit and Awards is an industry event that recognises Africa’s best performing fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies. It uses a comprehensive process to scan more than 50 categories and select winners with exemplary performance and outstanding products.

The summit features a panel discussion with industry-leading speakers and awards honoring top performers in various categories who have demonstrated innovation, excellence, and resilience over the past year.
