Cedi gains against Euro and Pound but slips slightly against US dollar on June 19

The Ghanaian cedi strengthened against the Euro and Pound but recorded a slight dip against the US dollar as of Thursday, June 19, 2025.

The cedi has experienced fluctuations in value against the dollar, with an average buying rate of GHS10.37 per dollar and a selling rate of GHS11.05.

At forex bureaus, the cedi is trading at GHS11.80 for those exchanging dollars for cedis and GHS12.00 for those converting cedis to dollars.

This data is sourced from Cedirates.com, a reputable Ghanaian platform for currency and fuel updates.

On the interbank market, the cedi is trading at GHS10.29 for buying dollars and GHS10.31 for selling dollars.

For the British pound, the average exchange rates are GHS13.78 for converting pounds to cedis and GHS14.64 for converting cedis to pounds.

Meanwhile, the Euro is trading at GHS11.81 for exchanging euros for cedis and GHS12.62 for converting cedis to Euros.

On the Bank of Ghana interbank market, the Pound is selling at GHS13.88, while the euro is trading at GHS11.87.

For money transfers, LemFi and Hurupay are offering rates of GHS10.25 and GHS10.30 per dollar, respectively, for transfers from the US or the UK to Ghana.

For the British pound, LemFi and Afriex provide rates of GHS13.85 and GHS16.16 respectively.

For the Euro, Afriex offers GHS13.84 while LemFi’s rate stands at GHS11.81 per €1.

For digital subscription payments such as Netflix, Spotify, or Apple Music using Visa and Mastercard, the exchange rates are GHS11.02 and GHS11.07 respectively.
