Two suspected armed robbers have been lynched by irate residents of Appiahkrom and Nsokote in the Bosome Freho District of the Ashanti Region, following a deadly robbery incident that claimed the life of a resident.

The deceased suspects have been identified as Richard Arhin, 26, and Eric Osei, 27. Two other accomplices were apprehended by the community members and handed over to the Fomena Police in the Adansi North District.

The suspects are believed to be members of a robbery gang that carried out a violent operation at Maame Ama, a village near Nsokote, in the early hours of Tuesday, 17th June 2025.

During the attack, 50-year-old Emmanuel Kwadwo Obeng was shot in the chest and died on the spot around 2:00 a.m.

Confirming the development to Adom News, Fomena District Police Commander, DSP Samson Wunyi Mumuni, said the bodies of the deceased suspects have been deposited at the Fomena District Hospital morgue.

“The other two suspects are in police custody and will be arraigned before the court in due course,” DSP Mumuni added.
