Societe Generale has pledged to contribute significantly to the savings and investments culture among Ghanaians in order to increase the country’s total savings to Gross Domestic Product ratio.
Kweku Tweneboah-Kodua, General Manager, Retail Banking, disclosed this at the second draw of the “Deposit and Drive Promotion”.
According to him, the promotion has exceeded the Bank’s expectations and it is a testament that its message is resonating with customers and the public.
Fourty customers across the country were rewarded with prizes ranging from television sets, microwaves and blenders.
Similarly, the five winners of the insure and win promo by SanlamAllianz also took prizes such as a weekend stay at Safari Valley Resort, free servicing for one year and free brand-new vehicle tyres.
Mr. Tweneboah-Kodua said “We could not have done this without the support of my entire team, from the frontline branch staff to those working behind the scenes in the back offices”.
“To our customers, we say there is still so much ahead to be won – trips to Singapore and Dubai, brand new laptops and phones. And of course, the all new and shiny Toyota Rav4 Adventure. So, continue to hold your deposits in your accounts and stand the chance of winning big!”, he added.
A representative of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Beryl Adom, commended Société Genérale for ensuring regulatory compliance by putting customers first and for reinforcing the culture of savings and financial responsibility.
“As the institution mandated to regulate games of chance and promotions of this nature, the NLA is here to guarantee the credibility and legitimacy of the draw process. We ensure that every participant has a fair and equal chance, and that winners emerge based on a transparent process that reflects the highest ethical standards”, she explained.
She reaffirmed the NLA’s commitment to ensuring that all promotional draws conducted in Ghana are done with credibility, fairness, and accountability, adding, “Together, we can build a nation where institutions are trusted, and the public is protected and empowered”.
The grand draw would take place in September 2025.
