Viral letter to NPP disciplinary committee fake; handiwork of Maxwell Mahama, Ken Agyapong boy and Amankwaa Agyare — Abronye

Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Abronye, widely known as Abronye DC, has distanced himself from a viral letter being circulated on social media, purportedly addressed to the party’s disciplinary committee.

In a strongly worded statement, Abronye described the letter as a “malicious fabrication” deliberately crafted to tarnish his image within the party. He accused three individuals — Maxwell Mahama, a suspended former member of the NPP; Amankwaa Agyare, whom he identified as the self-styled regional coordinator of the Kennedy Agyapong campaign in Bono; and one Maxwell Osei Bonsu — of being behind the “unintelligent and poorly crafted” document.

“My attention has been drawn to a letter circulating on social media and other platforms, falsely attributed to me, Kwame Baffoe Abronye, Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),” he stated.

“Let me state unequivocally that the content and language of the said letter clearly betray the malicious intent and ill motive of its authors. This mischievous fabrication is the handiwork of Maxwell Mahama, a disgraced and suspended former member of the party; Amankwaa Agyare, who parades himself as the regional coordinator of the Kennedy Agyapong campaign in the Bono Region; and one Maxwell Osei Bonsu.”

Abronye dismissed the letter as fake, noting that its tone and content make it obvious it did not originate from his office. He urged party members and the public to treat the document with the contempt it deserves.

“I wish to categorically state that this unintelligent and poorly crafted release did not—and could not—have originated from my office. It should be treated with the utmost contempt it deserves,” he declared.

“Is it not curiously funny that a letter supposedly written by my good self is being circulated across platforms by these named individuals who are avowed enemies of mine? Very laughable!” Abronye added.

The Bono Regional Chairman’s response comes amid growing internal tensions within the NPP as the party prepares for its upcoming presidential primaries. Abronye’s name has featured prominently in internal party debates due to his outspoken stance on party matters and reform.

His statement is seen by many within the party as a move to maintain his credibility and reaffirm his commitment to internal party unity and discipline, despite what he describes as attempts to undermine him through false propaganda.
