File FotoThe Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh (MP), has officially inaugurated Dr. Hintermann K. K. Mbroh as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ho Teaching Hospital, along with an eleven-member Governing Board tasked with steering the hospital into its next phase of development.
The ceremony, held on June 16, 2025, in Accra, marked a significant milestone in the hospital’s mission to consolidate its status as a leading tertiary healthcare and training institution in Ghana.
Dr. Mbroh, who brings a wealth of experience in clinical practice, hospital administration, and health systems development, takes over at a time when the hospital is being positioned to play a central role in specialized care, research, and training. His appointment is expected to bring renewed energy and focus to the institution’s strategic objectives.
In his remarks at the inauguration, Dr. Mbroh expressed deep appreciation for the confidence entrusted in him, pledging to work closely with the Board, staff, and stakeholders to improve healthcare delivery and institutional development.
He assured that the hospital would uphold its core values of Commitment, Accountability, Dedication, Innovation, Professionalism, Integrity, Teamwork, and Safe Care, adding that these principles would guide every decision and action under his leadership.
The new Governing Board, chaired by Dr. Delanyo Yao Tsidi Dovlo, consists of seasoned professionals from diverse sectors including medicine, academia, finance, and law. The Board is expected to provide strong oversight and policy direction in line with the Ministry of Health’s broader vision for the sector.
In a statement at the event, the Ministry of Health commended the outgoing leadership for their dedicated service and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the hospital with the resources and governance framework necessary to thrive.
With new leadership at the helm, Ho Teaching Hospital is poised to expand its impact as a centre of excellence in healthcare delivery, medical education, and research in Ghana and the sub-region.
