The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), has summoned the Group CEO of MultiChoice Africa, Country Manager and Board Chair of MultiChoice Ghana, operators of DSTV, to a crucial meeting scheduled for next week, Thursday, July 3, 2025.
The meeting is aimed at ensuring that MultiChoice Ghana aligns its pricing strategy with Ghana’s economic realities, complies with regulatory requirements, and takes immediate steps to curb revenue loss.
Hon. Samuel Nartey George said this at a meeting with a delegation from Multichoice Ghana in his office today, where he indicated his displeasure at the current fees of bouquet offerings by DSTV Ghana.
According to the Facebook post on the official page of the Ministry on the evening of Friday, 27th June, 2025, “The public will be apprised of the outcome of the meeting next week.”
Though the cost of DSTV dishes was reduced recently due to the appreciation of the Cedi against the dollar and other currencies, there have been pressures by customers through social media posts on the company to reduce subscription fees.
