Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson has arrived at the Kotoka International Airport ahead of the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day scheduled for July 1, 2025.

The update was shared on the X page of Channel One TV on Monday, June 30, 2025.

“His Eminence Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson arrives at Kotoka International Airport ahead of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, where he will serve as Special Guest Speaker,” the post read.

Cardinal Turkson is expected to serve as the Special Guest Speaker at the event, which aims to bring together faith leaders and citizens in a collective moment of reflection, gratitude, and intercession for the nation.

The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, taking place on Tuesday, is both a symbolic and meaningful call to spiritual reflection, national gratitude, and renewed unity.

The occasion, which also marks the 65th anniversary of Ghana attaining republican status, will be commemorated across all 16 regions and 261 districts, uniting the nation under one collective spiritual canopy.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day Committee, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, has confirmed that all preparations are complete for the national observance.
