Archbishop Porter Girls’ Senior High School (SHS) has made an emphatic statement at the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Western Regional Qualifiers, crushing their opponents with a commanding 73 points in the very first contest of the day.

They left Kwame Nkrumah SHS and Mpohor SHS trailing behind, scoring 17 and 9 points respectively.

The Takoradi-based girls swept through all four rounds with remarkable confidence and precision, establishing themselves as early favourites for the regional championship.

Their stellar performance not only secured them a place in the upcoming national championship but also set the tone for what promises to be an intense week of contests among top-performing schools in the region.

Speaking to JoyNews after the contest, the team expressed excitement and optimism, with hopes of clinching the regional trophy this year.

The Western Regional contest continues in Takoradi, with other schools battling it out for a limited number of national slots.
