Global InfoAnalytics doing propaganda for Mahama through fake polls — Miracles Aboagye

Aide to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has criticised research firm Global InfoAnalytics over its recent national tracking poll.

The firm’s latest poll revealed that about 56 percent of citizens, including members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), support the controversial fuel levy, popularly known as the “dumsor levy.”

But the NPP communicator dismissed the findings, insisting Global InfoAnalytics, led by Mussa Dankwah, has not been conducting credible polls.

Instead, Miracles Aboagye accused the firm of shaping public perception to favour the Mahama-led government.

“I can tell you without any doubt that Global InfoAnalytics is basically taking the country on a ride. They are really not doing any polling. It is just their views that they find ways and means to, once in a while, align with some of the very popular ones, and then they put it out,” Miracles Aboagye said on Accra-based Metro TV.

He further questioned the credibility of the findings, citing widespread opposition to the levy.

“Let me pick a very simple and very recent one. They are telling us that Ghanaians approve a government that told them it wouldn’t add taxes but now wants to add GHS4.50 to every gallon of fuel they buy,” he added.

Miracles Aboagye also cited the stance of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) against the levy.

“As we speak, the GPRTU had already threatened a nationwide strike over a new GHS1 per litre levy. But Global InfoAnalytics says that the Ghanaian people are happy,” he stated.
