Samira Bawumia is a former Second Lady of Ghana
A former Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, has addressed the question of whether she considers herself a politician.
Stating it on record, Samira Bawumia emphatically declared that she is not a politician, but rather the wife of a politician, referring to her husband, former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, as the one actively engaged in politics.
Addressing what appeared to be a gathering of young people at an event, Samira Bawumia clarified that although many perceive her as a politician, she is not one.
She explained that her determination and commitment to her work often make her efforts appear effortless, leading many to assume she is politically active.
Samira encouraged the youth to give their best in whatever they pursue, assuring them that excellence is the natural reward for dedication and hard work.
“I’m not a politician but a politician’s wife. My husband is the politician. Every decision you make, steps you take, and everything you put your mind to do, tell yourself to do and do it well. I get this question a lot if I’m a politician.
“No, its because I’m committed, dedicated and I want excellence, so, in everything I do, I want to do it well. I learned to do what I’m doing. I put myself in a position where I can do it well. If I have been able to do it well, you can also equally do better,” she advised.
