Edward Bawa, former Member of Parliament for Bongo and current CEO and Managing Director of GOIL PLC, has paid a courtesy visit to the regional executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti and Bono Regions to express his profound appreciation for their dedication and hard work during the 2024 general elections.
Mr. Bawa, who played a key role in supporting the party’s electoral machinery in both regions, including training polling agents and serving as an agent for H.E. John Dramani Mahama at the Ashanti Regional Collation Centre said he was deeply moved by the vigilance, teamwork, and unwavering commitment displayed by party members on the ground.
“I saw firsthand the sacrifices made at every level of the party structure. The gains we made in Ashanti and Bono were the result of collective effort and tireless dedication,” he said during the visit.
His tour was not merely ceremonial, but a personal gesture of gratitude to the grassroots—a recognition of the behind-the-scenes labour that often goes unnoticed after the spotlight of elections fades.
By returning to say “thank you,” Mr. Bawa reinforced the importance of sustaining strong connections with the party base. His gesture, marked by humility and sincerity, offered a quiet but powerful message: that leadership is not just about strategy, but also about acknowledging and uplifting those who make victory possible.
Mr. Bawa’s visit serves as a reminder that enduring loyalty and political momentum are built not just during campaigns, but in the relationships nurtured long after the ballots are counted.
