King Jesus Apostolic Church pioneers Mobile Giving App in Greater Accra

In a bold step blending faith with digital innovation, King Jesus Apostolic Church in the Ga Municipality of Greater Accra has become the first church in the area to launch a dedicated mobile money application, revolutionizing the way members contribute to the ministry.

The app is designed to allow worshippers, both in Ghana and across the world, to pay their tithes, offerings, pledges, and other donations directly from their phones.

The official unveiling took place on Sunday, July 6, 2025, drawing over 400 congregants to the church’s Hasto Mango-Lane headquarters. The event was led by Chairman Apostle Amos Opare, who dedicated the app to the work of God and emphasized that the new tool should be used as a means to give joyfully and from the heart.

“This is more than a technological upgrade,” Apostle Opare said. “It’s a divine opportunity for believers everywhere to participate in advancing the ministry, wherever they are.”

Presiding Elder George Asiedu explained that while the application mirrors existing mobile money systems in terms of functionality, church members should follow the specific instructions provided to ensure smooth usage. He reassured the congregation that the process is easy to follow, spiritually uplifting, and tailored to the church’s needs.

“It’s simple, familiar, and spiritually rewarding,” he said.

However, Elder Asiedu also sounded a note of caution. He urged members to be wary of potential fraudsters attempting to exploit the platform for their own gain. He reminded the church to double-check all payment details before making any transactions to avoid falling victim to scams.

During the launch, Elder Samuel Mensah spoke passionately about the need for the church to adapt to the fast-changing world around it. He recounted a touching incident involving a church member who had been deeply moved by a service but was unable to give because they had no cash on hand.

“This app is our response to such moments—a bridge between desire and action,” he noted.

The application enables a seamless connection between the giver and the ministry, ensuring that every heartfelt donation—whether for tithes, offerings, or pledges—reaches its intended destination without delay.

This landmark initiative not only strengthens the church’s mission but positions King Jesus Apostolic Church as a digital pioneer among faith-based institutions in Ghana. It sends a powerful message that while the Word of God is timeless, the tools used to support its spread must evolve to meet the demands of the modern world.
